WHO WE ARE

Agency Impact is a not for profit organization servicing at-risk families. The focus is on preventing further trauma to the family and prevention of child abuse. In all services we offer, trauma-informed approaches are implemented.

Our services provide life skills training empowering the parents and giving families opportunities to overcome the various challenges they may be facing. Some of those challenges range from homelessness to domestic violence, mental illness, substance abuse, extreme poverty, trauma and other factors that stand in the way of a healthy and successful life.

Our board of directors consists of teachers, social workers, local citizens and community advocates. Collectively as a group we have serviced more than 500 families through the Midwest for more than 18 years. We have seen 95% of the children reunified with their family after successful completion of services. The impact of our team can be seen in the thriving lives we have touched.

We look forward to continuing our efforts in the State of Indiana. Our team is diverse, culturally competent, bilingual (English and Spanish) and ready to adapt to each case needs.

PARENTING EDUCATION

PARENTING EDUCATION

The parent education is to strengthen the family and reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. We strive to impact the lives through knowledge and interactive skills training.

We specialize in trauma-informed care practice and implement evidence-based programs that focus on prevention and treatment.
Sessions are provided in a non-judgmental environment that focus on supporting both parent and child. The curriculum we use teaches the parents to nurture themselves and their children.

Throughout the sessions they will obtain skills that will allow them to provide and parent efficiently without the use of physical punishment. We provide parents with the information, skills necessary to appropriately parent by incorporating these protective factors into their relationship with their children. The goal is for parents to lead their children to become productive citizens in our society and community. The parent education sessions will give most a great foundation to re-start up the path of great parenting.

Sessions are offered one-on-one, small group and family sessions as well. They are provided for a minimum of 16 weeks depending on the need.
